economists, artists, photographers etc.). Some of members have specific pedagogical education in work with disabled youngsters or youngsters with some educational, economical or psychological difficulties.

RED main aim is rural youth activation for participating in different social and public processes, giving them the possibility to take part in multicultural projects, different information and European awareness promoting campaigns.

The basic target group of RED activities is Latvian rural youth, especially from local region of Vidzeme where RED is registered. To accomplish the purpose RED provides youngsters with information about different European

possibilities, organizes and participates in national and international cultural events, youth exchanges, training courses, camps, seminars and EVS projects as well, promoting rural youth mobility, intercultural learning

and voluntary work on local and international level. All RED activities are mainly addressed to youngsters and organized using non-formal educational methods. In the future RED is planning also to do social tourism and create some

mass media for youth in Latvia or even in international level. RED is also accredited as EVS sending - and coordinating - organisation (EiRef number 2008-LV-41). That gives a possibility for young people with less opportunity to discover

Europe and the world. In 2009 Latvian NA has approved our first EVS host-project with the best results of all applications. In 2009 RED was also one of 9 participating countries in international research on immigration and

intercultural issues in the project "4:Miss you, rope!" during last year. Also our double youth exchange "Photo talk – runāsim bildēs!" was approved in 2009 and five different countries participated in youth exchanges in Italy and Latvia. In 2009 RED has involved more than 50 yougsters from Latvia in different inernational and local creative projets. Art, creativity, culture, environment, intercultural learning, enjoyment, cognition, European awareness, democracy, active participating, inclusion, anti-discrimination, tolerance, non-formal education and voluntary are mainly key-words of all RED activities.

active participating, inclusion, anti-discrimination, tolerance, non-formal education and voluntary are main key-words of all RED activities.
